Once again this year, the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater in Zittau will serve as the festive setting for the opening of the 23rd NEISSE NYSA NISA FILM FESTIVAL. Together with our audience, we’ll get in the mood for the festival ahead. The festival will open with “Etwas ganz Besonderes” (Home Stories), the third feature film by Eva Trobisch. With great precision and a keen sense of interpersonal dynamics, the film tells the story of a family in transition. In Greiz, Thuringia, personal and social issues converge to form a multi-layered, intelligent, and touching portrait of our present. After the screening, we cordially invite you to round off the evening together in the theater foyer, and to celebrate the festival’s opening in a relaxed atmosphere.
